- Our Story
RedRock 1868 was founded in August 2024 by Deena Birdsong to provide specialized execution talent to utilities undertaking complex software transformation programs. The company was built on Deena’s more than three decades of experience in the utilities sector implementing technology initiatives across North America.
The company’s early growth began with a major engagement supporting a multi-year CIS replacement project for a large Northeastern gas utility. This foundational program enabled RedRock 1868 to expand its talent network and begin building strategic partnerships across the utilities ecosystem.
In January 2026, industry veteran Scott Birdsong joined RedRock 1868 as President to accelerate the company’s growth and expand its reach among utilities, system integrators, and enterprise technology partners. His addition strengthened the leadership team with more than 25 years of industry experience and an extensive professional network across the utility technology ecosystem.
Today, RedRock 1868 continues to expand its curated talent network while building strategic partnerships with leading system integrators in the utilities meter-to-cash transformation space.
